About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design drainage and design-build projects, including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the Southeast
  • Assist with roadway drainage design, including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post-construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control
  • Use Bentley’s StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, HEC-RAS, HY8, ICPR, and SWMM to assist with design and construction plan preparation
  • Work under the direction of the Senior Stormwater Engineer
  • Balance multiple assignments and activities to meet project deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another closely related field
  • Prior experience with drainage design (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire (preferred)
  • Experience with Bentley’s StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, and Pond Pack, HEC-RAS, HEC-MS, HY8, ICPR, and/or SWMM (preferred)
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple assignments to meet project deadlines
