About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical and technical advisory services for Arcadis' Structural Design & Engineering applications, platforms, and services
- Support software governance initiatives, including licence optimisation, application rationalisation, and platform standardisation
- Create and maintain Knowledge Base Articles, technical guidance, and best practice documentation
- Help administer, maintain, and optimise engineering project data and workflows within Common Data Environments, including AI-enabled capabilities
- Support vendor performance reviews, software evaluations, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations
- Provide consultancy, best practices, and subject matter expertise to global Structural Design & Engineering teams and business stakeholders
- Act as a technical and functional advisor for structural engineering platforms, applications, and workflows
- Engage with leaders, technical specialists, and project teams to understand requirements and translate them into platform and application improvements
- Assist with application patches, upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle management
- Track, forecast, and analyse platform utilisation, licence consumption, and adoption trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Good knowledge of structural engineering design processes, digital delivery workflows, and engineering project lifecycles
- Experience working with, supporting, or administering structural engineering software platforms and associated technologies
- Ability to independently solve problems and accomplish tasks in a logical, methodical, and efficient manner
- Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working collaboratively within global and multidisciplinary teams
- Project management skills with the ability to lead small to medium-scale initiatives from inception to delivery
- Understanding of software licensing, vendor management, and contract administration within an engineering environment
- Knowledge of industry-leading structural engineering applications such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, ETABS, MIDAS, SOFiSTiK, RISA, SCIA or similar engineering platforms is desirable
- Experience supporting Common Data Environments (CDEs), BIM-enabled workflows, and digital engineering practices is desirable
- Familiarity with AI, automation, scripting, or data analytics technologies applicable to structural engineering delivery is desirable
