About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform planning studies, design, and field investigations for water and wastewater systems, including collection, transmission, distribution, pumping, and treatment facilities
  • Support sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability assessments, mitigation assessments, and planning and design initiatives for utilities, municipalities, and cities
  • Prepare written technical reports, Preliminary Design Reports, evaluation memorandums, spreadsheets, and permitting applications
  • Develop written communications and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assist utilities, municipalities, and cities with planning and design solutions to meet infrastructure needs
  • Contribute to project coordination and technical analysis
  • Work under the guidance of project managers and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
  • Ability to work effectively independently under project manager guidance and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility to take on varied assignments and initiative to embrace new projects and challenges
  • Familiarity/experience with ArcGIS and/or hydraulic modeling software is ideal but not required
