About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
- Support projects involving treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping facilities
- Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments
- Support planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork
- Perform sampling and water quality analyses
- Evaluate technologies, gather plant operations information, troubleshoot processes, and optimize systems
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials
- Participate in client meetings
- Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
- Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
- Collaborate with team members across the U.S. and internationally
- Learn and use SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another closely related academic discipline
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Solid work ethic
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible approach
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred: prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors
