About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Arcadis water team in developing sustainable solutions for water issues
- Collaborate with experienced water professionals and work with clients
- Support and drive project development
- Participate in sustainability and resilience project management from assessment and development through ongoing support
- Perform engineering tasks, make project-detail decisions, and select engineering solutions
- Conduct site visits, water quality analysis, construction inspection, sampling, flow-monitoring setup, monitoring technology evaluations, plant-operations information gathering, process troubleshooting, and optimization
- Support asset management projects through data analytics, performance evaluations, and facility assessments
- Prepare reports and other project materials
- Participate in client meetings
- Use SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, and Augmented Reality to improve collaboration and project delivery
- Design and manage databases and cloud-based computing services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
- Strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management
- Excellent technical aptitude
- Familiarity with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow
- Skills in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
- Ability to support project management, including project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
- Ability to exercise judgment on engineering tasks and select suitable engineering solutions
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
- Familiarity/experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and Revit (preferred)
