About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and drive development of water engineering projects
- Collaborate with experienced water professionals and interact with clients
- Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
- Support project management efforts involving scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
- Engage in sustainability and resilience project management from assessment and development through ongoing support
- Perform engineering tasks, make project-detail decisions, and select suitable engineering solutions
- Conduct site visits, water quality analysis, construction inspections, sampling, flow-monitoring setup, and monitoring technology evaluations
- Review plant operations information and support process troubleshooting and optimization
- Conduct data analytics, performance evaluations, and assessments for water/wastewater/stormwater asset management projects
- Prepare reports and materials and participate in client meetings
- Use SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, Augmented Reality, databases, and cloud-based computing services to enhance collaboration and project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
- Familiarity/experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and Revit (preferred)
- Strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management
- Excellent technical aptitude
- Familiarity with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow
- Skills in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects
- Ability to support project management, including project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
- Ability to exercise judgment on engineering tasks and select suitable engineering solutions
