About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and drive development of water engineering projects
  • Collaborate with experienced water professionals and interact with clients
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
  • Support project management, including project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
  • Engage in sustainability and resilience project management from assessment and development through ongoing support
  • Exercise judgment on engineering tasks, project details, and engineering solutions
  • Conduct site visits, water quality analysis, construction inspections, sampling, flow monitoring setup, monitoring technology evaluations, plant operations information gathering, process troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Support asset management projects through data analytics, performance evaluations, and facility assessments
  • Prepare reports and materials and participate in client meetings
  • Use SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, and Augmented Reality to improve collaboration and project delivery
  • Design and manage databases and cloud-based computing services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
  • Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity/experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit (preferred)
  • Strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management
  • Excellent technical aptitude
  • Familiarity with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow
  • Skills in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects
  • Ability to support project management efforts, including managing project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
  • Ability to conduct data analytics, performance evaluations, and assessments
  • Ability to design and manage databases and cloud-based computing services
