About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of resiliency, stormwater, and wastewater projects
  • Provide comprehensive resilience assessments, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments
  • Develop strategies and planning/design services for utilities, municipalities, and cities
  • Incorporate innovative practices such as green and natural infrastructure
  • Use models to assess flood conditions, enhance drainage designs, optimize energy flows, and develop master plans
  • Aid in planning, designing, and implementing innovative projects
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, documentation, presentations, and audio-visual materials
  • Ensure project compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals
  • Assist with project proposals, budgets, and schedules
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to supervisors
  • Perform fieldwork including site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring setup and monitoring, and technology evaluations
  • Interact and work with clients and collaborate with experienced water professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability and eagerness to take ownership of tasks
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Ability to work successfully independently and within a team
  • Flexible attitude toward dynamic work assignments
  • Initiative to take on new projects and challenges regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate preferred
  • Basic understanding/familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and H&H models preferred
