About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to engineers
  • Lead multiple water/wastewater engineering tasks and projects
  • Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and support management of water/wastewater and conveyance projects
  • Work on pipelines, treatment facilities, pumping facilities, asset management, distribution system improvements, hydraulic modeling, pump station rehabilitation, sewer rehabilitation, inflow and infiltration programs, water treatment, and reclamation
  • Provide professional engineering services during construction, including construction observation, shop drawing review, RFI responses, and permit closeouts
  • Execute projects through planning, design, and construction phases
  • Oversee development of design calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
  • Coordinate timely project completion within budget and project milestones
  • Supervise and support others
  • Mentor junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff
  • Travel for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, planning, or construction oversight as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or a related field of study
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain in 6 months
  • Preferred: 8 years of relevant water/wastewater experience
  • Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment
  • Project task leadership experience, including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Readiness to collaborate with team members across different geographical locations
  • Ability to travel for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, planning purposes, or construction oversight as needed
