About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage regularly with team managers to maximize billability and forecast reliability
- Monitor and actively manage the demand marketplace
- Own the quality and accuracy of the 12-week look-ahead for assigned team managers
- Identify work and demand that can be planned in advance for Design & Engineering
- Provide dashboard feedback and insights to stakeholders
- Identify and recommend recruitment needs
- Maximize soft booking and pre-planning practices
- Support talent mobilization and demobilization across projects
- Serve as the primary contact for talent seeking new opportunities and document information in the system
- Build knowledge of aligned teams, capabilities, and talent
- Build relationships with pursuit leaders and project managers to identify suitable resources
- Maintain networks with team managers and drive solution-oriented workforce planning
- Identify and resolve workforce planning data gaps and inaccuracies
- Support onboarding of new joiners and complete WFP Tags profiles
- Engage Sector and Industry leads to understand client talent requirements
- Identify and escalate supply and demand risks
- Provide early warning of supply gaps or oversupply to Sector WFP Directors
- Escalate unexpected changes and leverage the WFP network for solutions
- Find suitable talent and profiles for pursuits that support sales
- Identify client requirements and integrate them into WFP Tags
- Support prioritization of top-tier clients and major opportunities
- Act as point of contact for Tier 3–4 client teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in workforce planning, resource planning, deployment coordination, or similar operational planning roles within the AEC or related professional services industry
- Deep understanding of workforce analytics and forecasting, including demand signals, forecast accuracy, and billability
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of regional talent trends, labor markets, and basic employment law relevant to workforce planning and deployment
- Analytical and data-driven ability to identify data gaps, manage planning inputs, and improve workforce information accuracy and completeness
- Change management and transformation expertise
- Detailed knowledge of workforce planning data processes and systems, WFP tags, and demand matching, or ability to quickly build comparable knowledge
- Client-oriented, solution-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, escalate risks, and leverage networks to identify suitable talent
- Understanding of utilization, billability, project margins, and their impact on resource planning
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adherence without direct authority
- Ability to make informed resource allocation recommendations
- Leadership style aligned with the Arcadis Leadership profile
- Degree-level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline such as business, operations, human resources, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
