Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive workforce planning for Design & Engineering APAC
  • Support pursuits and projects through talent identification and deployment
  • Engage Australian team managers to maximize billability and forecast reliability
  • Manage the demand marketplace and own demand within remit
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of the 12-week look-ahead
  • Identify work and demand that can be planned in advance
  • Provide dashboard feedback and insights to stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend recruitment needs
  • Maximize soft booking and pre-planning practices
  • Support talent mobilization and de-mobilization across Australian projects
  • Serve as the primary contact for Design & Engineering talent seeking opportunities in Australia
  • Build networks with team managers, pursuit leaders and project managers
  • Understand and engage Global Excellence Centers
  • Identify and resolve workforce planning data gaps and inaccuracies
  • Support onboarding and complete WFP Tags profiles
  • Understand Australian client talent requirements
  • Identify and escalate supply and demand risks
  • Provide early warning on supply gaps or oversupply in Australia
  • Find suitable talent and profiles for pursuits and sales support
  • Integrate client-required attributes into WFP Tags
  • Support prioritization of top-tier clients and major opportunities
  • Act as point of contact for Tier 3–4 client teams in Design & Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in workforce planning, resource planning, deployment coordination or similar operational planning roles within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related professional services industry in Australia
  • Deep understanding of workforce analytics and forecasting, including demand signals, forecast accuracy and billability
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of regional talent trends, labor markets and basic employment law relevant to workforce planning and deployment
  • Analytical and data-driven ability to identify data gaps, manage planning inputs and improve workforce information accuracy
  • Change management and transformation expertise
  • Detailed knowledge of workforce planning data processes, WFP tags and demand matching, or ability to quickly build comparable knowledge
  • Client-oriented, solution-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, escalate risks and leverage networks to identify suitable talent
  • Understanding of utilization, billability, project margins and their impact on resource planning
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adherence without direct authority
  • Ability to make informed resource allocation recommendations
  • Leadership style aligned to the Arcadis Leadership profile
  • Degree level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline such as business, operations, human resources or analytics, or equivalent practical experience
