About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent SE&IT in support of MDA/DE-SEA (Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation) and the MDA Joint Analysis Team
- Perform Missile Defense System performance analysis of test data, primarily from the MDA Ground Test (HWIL) program
- Support analysis of MDA Flight Test events, Real World Event data, and Golden Dome for America tests
- Develop approaches and tools for system-level and element-level performance analysis of the complex Missile Defense System
- Produce analysis results and inputs to official SEA test report products
- Present findings during mission data reviews
- Work with Systems Engineering teams, test organizations, warfighters, and element program focals to ensure tests meet technical intent
- Assess system capabilities and characterize system behaviors
- Develop, use, and present analytical products assessing strategic and theater/regional element and system-level performance during ground and flight test events
- Analyze performance of the Missile Defense System kill chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required security clearance: Secret
- Mid-level position
- Degree and experience performing systems engineering test analysis for the Missile Defense System
- Experience documenting and presenting analysis findings
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in engineering, mathematics or physics
- Knowledge of analytical approaches and demonstrated analytical skills and discipline
- Proficiency using analytical tools to assess system-level performance of the MDS kill chain, including sensor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination; battle manager engagement planning; warfighter interaction; engagement coordination; and interceptor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team
- Strong systems engineering or MDS analysis background desired
- Demonstrated collaboration and presentation skills desired
- System-level interface design and specification development experience desired
- Knowledge of the Missile Defense System desired
- Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Tableau or similar analytical tools desired
- Knowledge of system analysis and system-level testing desired
- Must be eligible for employment under applicable U.S. law; employer participates in E-Verify
