About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements
- Handle technology, purchase, service, and consulting agreements
- Review RFPs and DDQs as the primary representative of the Legal team
- Serve as the internal point of contact for outside counsel handling NDAs
- Advise business team members on intellectual property matters and other legal issues, including generative artificial intelligence
- Support general corporate, employment, and litigation matters as needed
- Negotiate on behalf of Arcesium in customer and vendor relationships as part of the Legal & Compliance team
Requirements
What you’ll need- A law degree and an impressive record of academic achievement
- At least 3–5 years of experience in-house and/or at a law firm
- Experience reviewing and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts for both customers and vendors
- Experience advising clients on intellectual property issues and contract interpretation
- Prior experience with open-source software and/or generative artificial intelligence is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable juggling competing priorities and working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical abilities, outstanding judgment, keen attention to detail, impressive work ethic, and proven drafting, communication, and organizational skills
