About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build API-first backend services forming part of a new target architecture
  • Contribute to the design, build, and scaling of customer products and services
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams
  • Use TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Terraform, Kubernetes, and GCP CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems
  • Apply agile methodologies to achieve team objectives
  • Collaborate with teammates in Lithuania and colleagues in the UK
  • Develop greenfield target-state technology and innovative solutions for over 4 million customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Backend engineering experience essential
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and Node
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and technologies, including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
  • Passion for product and user experience, along with strong commercial thinking
  • Strong desire to make an impact and take ownership early in the process
  • Ability to design resilient and scalable solutions
  • Attention to detail with a focus on security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial
