About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day import and export compliance activities across the assigned region
  • Ensure accurate trade documentation, customs declarations, export filings, classification, origin, valuation, and regulatory data
  • Manage export licensing, denied party screening, sanctions compliance, embargo controls, and technology transfer requirements
  • Monitor changing trade regulations and assess impacts on products, customers, supply chains, costs, and operations
  • Resolve customs clearance issues, shipment delays, regulatory inquiries, and compliance-related disruptions
  • Manage and audit customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party trade service providers
  • Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and external providers
  • Support government agency inquiries, audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and trade optimization opportunities
  • Conduct training, risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining Arclin ownership of compliance decisions and controls
  • Report to the Director, Global Trade Strategy & Compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or related disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of import compliance, export controls, customs valuation, classification, origin, sanctions, and licensing requirements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Customs Broker License a plus but not required
  • Experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, industrial products, or related industries preferred
  • EMEA regional language requirements: English and Spanish; French and German are an advantage
