About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build native iOS apps in Swift supporting the latest two OS versions and portrait, tablet, and landscape layouts.
  • Build native Android apps in Kotlin supporting the latest three OS versions.
  • Support Huawei AppGallery distribution and Huawei Mobile Services push where required.
  • Implement search, booking/commerce, self-service flows, mobile passes/tickets with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, document scanning and upload, and calendar synchronization.
  • Deliver member/loyalty profiles and features at parity with the website.
  • Implement APNs, FCM, and HMS Push notifications, in-app notifications, geolocation, and offline access to static content.
  • Optionally develop smartwatch companion apps.
  • Consume content and integration APIs through the integration layer and integrate mobile analytics.
  • Meet performance targets including app startup under 2 seconds, optimized app size, and crash-rate reporting.
  • Manage Apple App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery distribution with localized metadata and screenshots.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of native mobile development.
  • Senior-level Swift (iOS) OR Kotlin (Android) — specify which platform the candidate leads on.
  • Strong REST / GraphQL API integration.
  • Experience with push infrastructure (APNs / FCM).
  • Experience publishing and maintaining apps in production app stores.
  • Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and AppGallery experience (especially for the Android hire).
  • Multi-language and right-to-left (Arabic) app experience.
  • Apple Wallet / Google Wallet pass integration.
  • Experience with high-traffic transactional or travel/commerce apps.
  • Cross-platform familiarity is fine, but the build is native — pure cross-platform-only candidates are a weaker fit.
