About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop and maintain solutions across Arden University’s Salesforce platform
- Work across Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud
- Build solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components and declarative automation
- Develop and support integrations with third-party systems
- Contribute to technical solution design
- Take ownership of assigned development work and deliver solutions to agreed standards
- Provide BAU support, technical investigations, releases and continuous improvement
- Maintain and enhance the Salesforce platform
- Collaborate with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, Administrators and the Lead Salesforce Developer
- Work independently on complex development tasks
- Share knowledge and support less experienced team members
- Report to the Lead Salesforce Developer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II certifications
- Salesforce Platform Administrator or Platform App Builder certification
- 5+ years’ professional experience in Salesforce development
- Strong experience with Apex, including classes, triggers, asynchronous processing and unit testing
- Strong experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Strong knowledge of SOQL and SOSL, including query optimisation
- Strong experience with Salesforce Flow and declarative automation
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, object relationships, security and sharing model
- Experience developing and supporting Salesforce integrations with third-party systems, including REST/SOAP APIs and common integration patterns
- Experience using Git, version control, branching and pull request workflows, and Salesforce DX
- Experience with CI/CD and Salesforce deployment pipelines using Bitbucket, Copado, Gearset or similar
- Experience managing Salesforce releases and deployments between environments
- Experience conducting and responding to code reviews and following development standards
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, including sprint planning, backlog refinement and effort estimation
- Experience resolving BAU incidents and complex technical issues
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, bulkification, governor limits and common design patterns
- Understanding of release management, version control and deployment processes
- Understanding of data governance, GDPR and information security best practice
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working within the Higher Education sector (desirable)
- Experience with large datasets and data migration (desirable)
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS (desirable)
- Experience with middleware or third-party integration platforms (desirable)
- Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting junior developers (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience of Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud (desirable)
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant certification (desirable)
- Salesforce Agentforce Specialist certification (desirable)
