About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the HR function across the Paris and New York studios
- Build and manage contracts, onboarding, leave, and French labor compliance processes
- Develop an outsourcing strategy for payroll, legal, and other external HR expertise
- Own the skills matrix and career framework
- Lead the global performance review cycle, including calibration and follow-through
- Build development programs and career paths with practice leads
- Partner with Finance and leadership on compensation and benefits
- Support practice leads with performance issues and other people situations
- Create tools and training to help managers handle people challenges independently
- Lead recruitment and workforce planning for both studios
- Determine which capabilities to build internally versus source through freelancers and partners
- Build relationships with recruiting partners, schools, and industry networks
- Take ownership of the talent community program over time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience in people operations within a creative or professional services environment
- Deep knowledge of French labor law
- Strong HR administration expertise
- Ability to oversee US HR requirements and obligations
- Understanding of agency operations, including capacity, delivery, and team health
- Sound judgment and interpersonal instinct
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing urgent demands
- Ability to recognize when to escalate situations
- Ability to build trust with practice leads
- Candidates local to Paris or the close suburbs prioritized
- Working hours based on collaboration with Paris and New York time zones
