About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end design process of new features and products
  • Prototype new ideas, write proposals and specifications, and work with engineering on scope and implementation
  • Track feedback and data and iterate post-launch
  • Deeply understand the High Expectation Customer, their preferences, and product usage
  • Understand business goals and user needs and identify ways to improve the experience and grow the business
  • Monitor user feedback and analytics, spot trends, and prioritize work to improve the product
  • Help develop and expand the design system for consistency and quality across product surfaces
  • Influence design-team culture and processes and drive product vision
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and research to explore, prototype, iterate, test, and ship products and features

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of Product Design experience working on a consumer or developer facing application
  • Portfolio showcasing a very high level of visual design craft, attention to detail, and ability to surprise and delight users
  • History of shipping features for consumer-facing products
  • Ideally building 0-1 products or working at or with early stage startups
  • Track record of making informed, thoughtful design decisions with measurable impact on product success
  • Ability to make appropriate tradeoffs between short-term and long-term goals, informed by business and/or user needs
  • Strong interaction, visual, and design system skillset
  • Very strong proficiency in Figma
  • Proficiency in a prototyping tool of choice
  • Prototype-first mindset; build prototypes and test them to inform design decisions
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and simplifying complex ideas
  • Strong writing skills; comfortable writing or editing a PRD
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written storytelling skills
