Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own critical engineering projects from start to finish
  • Implement solutions for asset loading, packaging, platform and console integration, persistence, and related engine systems
  • Work across disciplines to understand technical needs and develop code-quality- and performance-focused solutions
  • Provide engineers with frameworks for robust gameplay systems that interface cleanly with game infrastructure
  • Anticipate and communicate risks, dependencies, and trade-offs related to technical and design decisions
  • Work with Unreal Engine code and existing engine systems
  • Review and make meaningful changes to teammates' code
  • Plan, estimate, implement, track, and communicate project work and progress

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in C++
  • Professional experience developing games with Unreal Engine
  • Deep professional experience working with Unreal Engine
  • Ability to plan, estimate, and communicate project progress
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and changes affecting delivery
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work remotely and, preferably, be local to Bellevue, Washington for occasional onsite collaboration
