About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Structure technical requirements and develop robust solutions
Advise clients on technical decisions and cloud and DevOps matters
Analyze existing IT environments, architectures, and technical requirements
Build and further develop complex cloud platforms, with a focus on Kubernetes in private-cloud environments and selected public-cloud providers
Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and release cycles
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions
Coach team members on cloud and platform-related topics
Contribute to internal ARES projects
Implement solutions hands-on in client projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree or vocational training in an IT-related field
Several years of experience with cloud-native technologies and platform engineering, particularly in private-cloud or hybrid environments
In-depth knowledge of public-cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and STACKIT
Relevant experience in a DevOps environment
Ability to advise clients on technical topics and explain complex technical concepts clearly
Project experience in the public sector or KRITIS-regulated environments
Experience in IT security
Independent, client-oriented, and strong communication skills, along with a collaborative mindset
Motivation to quickly learn new topics and take on responsibility
Willingness to travel within Germany, averaging no more than 3 days per month
Excellent German and English skills
Willingness to undergo a security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) in accordance with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
