About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and organize a team of HEOR scientists and specialists developing value evidence for a large and growing portfolio
- Lead and maintain HEOR evidence generation plans with RWE, Clinical Development, Regulatory, MA&EG, Market Access, and Commercialization
- Develop strategic value evidence generation plans and execute analyses, timelines, and budgets
- Lead HEOR organizational evolution to support a growing commercialization organization and upcoming launches across multiple markets
- Partner with Market Access to align local market evidence generation needs and priorities
- Identify, select, and execute value-evidence projects with internal stakeholders and external experts
- Monitor developments affecting stakeholder needs and direct value-evidence planning
- Lead evidence dissemination through high-quality publications with investigators, HCPs/KOLs, and patient advocates
- Partner with MA&EG, RWE, and Patient Advocacy to engage relevant HCPs/KOLs and Patient Advocacy Groups
- Contribute to the MA&EG Leadership Team and support community vision and people development
- Participate in the argenx government relations community and execute relevant evidence generation
- Develop and deliver presentations to external stakeholders when requested
- Conduct internal HEOR training for argenx colleagues
- Develop long-term strategy for HEOR capability excellence, including scope, budget, timelines, and evidence dissemination
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research or a related discipline is required (e.g., PhD, MS, MPH)
- Minimum 12 years consulting and/or working in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical development, scientific project management, HEOR methodology and required deliverables, evidence generation, and compliance and regulatory requirements
- Minimum 7 years HEOR experience
- In-depth understanding of project setup and execution from feasibility analysis and need determination to full prospective study development, setup, governance, HCP/KOL/external stakeholder management, and execution
- Cross-functional team management and broad understanding of the use of evidence for maximum impact
- Experience working with markets worldwide, including US, Europe and Asia preferred
- Experience developing and leading a growing team of HEOR Scientists and supporting roles with a proven track record of capability leadership
- Ability to travel up to 30% of time as needed
- Ability to spend some time each month in at least one argenx office
- Thorough understanding and expertise across HEOR areas
- Experience with cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost-benefit, and budget impact modeling
- Experience with literature reviews and syntheses, comparative effectiveness research, observational noninterventional studies, and prospective cohort studies
- Ability to navigate matrixed environments successfully
- Knowledge of recent changes in payer and health technology assessment landscape
- Strong active listening, written and verbal communication, data interpretation, problem-solving, prioritization, adaptability, and teamwork skills
