About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the MA&EG lead on the FB-102 Asset Strategy Team
- Provide strategic guidance for development and life cycle management of FB-102
- Identify new indications based on disease biology and mechanism to maximize patient outcomes and access
- Work with Science, Clinical Development, MA&EG, and Commercial teams on lifecycle deliverables from development through commercialization
- Provide input into clinical trial protocols and study site selection
- Partner with clinical study teams to troubleshoot study issues
- Develop and execute Integrated Evidence Generation Plans throughout the product lifecycle
- Lead the FB-102 MA&EG argenx Community
- Develop and execute medical strategies involving scientific communications, publications, advisory boards, medical information, congress activities, field content, and data generation
- Communicate the asset’s development strategy and plans to the MA&EG Community
- Hire and manage indication leads as the molecule progresses
- Contribute to MA&EG strategies as a member of the MA&EG Leadership Team
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, flexible, and empowering team environment
- Ensure medical affairs activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and argenx policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in a scientific specialty (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) required
- 15 years of gastroenterology clinical practice experience, gastroenterology research experience, and/or specific gastroenterology biopharmaceutical industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of medical affairs industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience designing, conducting, and interpreting clinical trials
- Knowledge of drug development
- An existing expert network is an advantage
- Proven interpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced and complex matrix environment and on cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel 30-40% of the time as needed, domestically and globally
- Ability to spend some time in the argenx offices
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge in complex disease areas, treatments, and clinical development plans
- Ability to evaluate and interpret medical/scientific literature and evolving treatment landscapes
- Ability to develop effective medical affairs strategies and deliver targeted results
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience preparing, adapting, and delivering presentations and complex data
- Ability to lead teams through ambiguity, manage competing demands, prioritize, and adapt to change
- Ability to collaborate across functions, stakeholders, and geographies
- Ability to coach and develop people
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Detailed understanding of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals and product access
