About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java 17 and Spring Boot
Build and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs, including model mapping, contract versioning, and deserialization
Write unit and integration tests and maintain solid test coverage
Work on error handling, structured logging, and observability
Participate in code reviews and propose architecture and quality improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot
Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs
Experience integrating third-party services
Testing discipline: JUnit, integration tests, CI management
Proficiency with Gradle or Maven, Git, and working in large codebases
Professional English, spoken and written, for distributed-team asynchronous communication
Nice to have: experience with observability, including OpenTelemetry, metrics, and tracing
Nice to have: experience with AWS
Nice to have: experience working with US enterprise clients
