About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Triage incoming patient calls and assess the nature and urgency of clinical concerns
- Provide nursing guidance within scope of practice and established protocols
- Review medication refill gaps when clinically appropriate
- Complete and submit medication and treatment prior authorization requests
- Assess patients to mental health professionals, crisis services, or other appropriate resources based on clinical need
- Accurately document triage assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up recommendations
- Coordinate care and communication among patients, nurses, physicians, mental health professionals, pharmacies, scheduling staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree or Specialized Training
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas
- 2-5 years of related nursing experience
- Strong clinical judgement and decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of medications, dosing, indications, and potential adverse effects
- Strong organizational, documentation, and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective when managing urgent, high risk or crisis situations
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
