About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of scalable digital APIs, from design and development through maintenance
Ensure APIs enable seamless and efficient integration across Digital systems and platforms
Drive the architectural vision for API management, integration, and governance
Design and implement scalable frameworks, patterns, and standards
Establish secure, performant, cached, and highly supportable data-access methods
Champion automation for API provisioning, configuration, and deployment
Develop self-service portals and tools for API testing, consumption, and onboarding
Drive delivery of features and enhancements for digital integrations and API capabilities
Ensure reliable and performant integration solutions and API services
Establish and maintain proactive and reactive support mechanisms to maximize uptime
Onboard, assess, mentor, and develop Digital Solution Delivery team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience with strong analytical skills to design secure, highly scalable APIs and data-driven Node.js applications
Robust testing and automation experience
Skills in optimizing development workflows and improving efficiency
Mentoring team members
Curiosity to leverage AI to accelerate workflows and generate business solutions
Proficiency delivering modern cloud solutions across major platforms; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred
Proficiency in Event-Driven Architecture and Pub/Sub integration patterns
Experience in data modeling and developing complex SQL queries preferred
Experience with Marketing Technologies, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and/or Loyalty Platforms
Commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
