Key responsibilities & impact

Own operating expense budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close for assigned business areas
Partner with business leaders to manage budgets, evaluate spending, and provide financial guidance
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
Maintain and enhance revenue reporting packages
Develop understanding of company revenue streams to support reporting and analysis
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations
Build and maintain practical financial models
Perform ad hoc analyses to support business decisions
Partner with Accounting during monthly close to ensure accurate financial reporting
Leverage Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude plugins to improve financial analysis, reporting, and process efficiency
Serve as a strategic finance partner to leaders across Editorial, Sales, Technology, Marketing, and corporate functions
Help modernize the finance function and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and drive growth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
4–6 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, operating expense management, variance analysis, and financial reporting
Ability to build and maintain practical financial models and reporting tools
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and financial workflows
Experience supporting B2B media, digital publishing, advertising, or subscription-based businesses
Familiarity with subscription or recurring revenue reporting
Experience with FP&A planning systems such as Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Pigment, or Oracle EPM
Demonstrated ability to build AI prompts, automations, or workflows that improve finance processes and reporting
