About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare recurring financial reports for management, committees, and the Board of Directors
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, ALCO materials, pricing analyses, investment reporting, profitability reporting, and other Finance deliverables
- Perform income and expense variance analysis and assist with earnings, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity forecasting
- Support product, channel, portfolio, and organizational profitability reporting and analysis
- Support pricing analysis and recommendation development for deposit, lending, and fee-based products
- Assist with business case development, ROI analysis, financial feasibility studies, and scenario modeling
- Support liquidity management through cash flow forecasting and monitoring
- Assist with ALM and IRR modeling, including data preparation, validation, assumption maintenance, documentation, and results analysis
- Support investment accounting, investment reporting, collateral maintenance, and related reconciliations
- Assist with annual budgeting, ongoing financial forecasting, and budget reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools
- Validate source data, investigate variances and anomalies, and maintain Finance documentation
- Assist with enterprise risk reporting, CECL monitoring, audit support, regulatory examinations, policy reviews, and compliance activities
- Cross-train across Finance Department responsibilities and provide backup support
- Acquire and apply knowledge of the credit union, its products, systems, and processes
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, auditing, banking, credit unions, or a comparable analytical role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and communicate findings clearly
- Ability to build, maintain, validate, and document financial models for forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, liquidity management, and strategic decision support
- Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and recurring analytical processes
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
