About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deploy, maintain, enhance, operate, and manage development, test, and production environments for assigned systems
Apply standard application design principles to create logical and physical application designs
Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify project objectives
Deploy and test software upgrades, including maintaining test plans
Follow corporate standards for naming conventions, security, and interface design
Maintain project documentation in the designated tracking system
Document changes to program code and scripts using appropriate commenting and software change documentation
Write and update documentation describing software environments, implementations, and infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or five (5) years’ equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Minimum three (3) years’ technical applications and/or information systems experience
Alternatively, an applicable Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of one (1) year’s experience
Healthcare-related experience preferred
Knowledge of relational database concepts
Scripting skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Oral and written communication skills
Technical communication skills
Professional judgment
High-level problem-solving skills
Self-direction and motivation
Troubleshooting skills
Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
Must ensure the security and confidentiality of records and information
