  • Safely batch manufacture and package adhesives and other specialty chemical products.
  • Follow all safety rules, operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Operate industrial forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Stage and compound raw materials.
  • Blend chemicals and powders.
  • Charge liquid and powdered materials into mixing vessels.
  • Monitor chemical reactions and mixing processes.
  • Operate and monitor process control systems.
  • Sample products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Fill, label, and package finished products.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization standards.
  • Complete production documentation electronically and manually.
  • Utilize computerized inventory and production systems.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop skills to advance into the Utility Operator position, supporting production, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, bulk material handling, and shipping operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, chemical suits, face shields, hard hats, and steel-toed footwear.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • One or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong attendance and performance history preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new processes preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to work the assigned second or third shift.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including extended shifts, weekend work, and occasional 12-hour shifts.
  • Willingness and ability to work in hot, cold, and changing environmental conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to work around industrial chemicals and manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness and ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Willingness and ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
