About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build customer-facing AI products that automate studio operators’ workflows
- Build and improve agentic loops for the product, codebase, and delivery process
- Own features end to end, from scoping ambiguous customer problems through shipping and measurement
- Modernize core architecture and contribute to migrations and large-scale refactors
- Simplify infrastructure and operations so human and agent engineers move faster
- Build production safety nets for detection, alerting, and incident response
- Work across TypeScript, Node, NestJS, React, and Postgres
- Raise engineering standards through code review, pairing, and mentorship
- Help adopt patterns and tools that improve team velocity
- Ship AI functionality used by real studios and own a meaningful product or platform area
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of software engineering experience in most cases, though evidence matters more than years
- Full-stack contribution across the stack
- Fluency and comfort with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Heavy daily use of AI tooling beyond autocomplete
- Experience building agentic workflows, evals, or automation is a strong plus
- Meaningful contributions to a migration or large-scale refactor
- Hands-on production reliability experience, including observability, alerting, and debugging live issues
- Experience improving teammates through code review, pairing, and knowledge sharing
- Strong product judgment and ability to scope ambiguous problems pragmatically
- Comfort operating with high autonomy and low process
- Consistent location in an approved hiring geography
- At least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern time
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Wellness or fitness interest is a bonus
- Experience building for entrepreneurs or small business owners is a bonus
- High-growth startup experience is a bonus
