About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications supporting DSSI's Source-to-Pay business processes
Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
Collaborate with business process teams, project coordinators, stakeholders, developers, and IT team members
Develop new functionality and enhancements for user interfaces and back-end applications
Provide technical support and troubleshoot existing applications and production issues
Develop and maintain applications and services deployed on web servers
Design and implement software using object-oriented programming and enterprise application development practices
Develop and maintain RESTful Web Services, Web API, XML, JSON, and related integrations
Work with SQL Server and integrate applications with IBM i/AS400 and DB2 systems
Participate in application architecture, system integration, database design, and technical solution development
Own assigned projects and development initiatives, ensuring quality deliverables and on-time completion
Create and maintain technical documentation, including application documentation, help text, testing requirements and results, programmer comments, and object descriptions
Develop and execute unit and integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing
Support user training and assist business users with adoption of new and enhanced functionality
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and usability
Participate in code reviews and follow established IT development standards, procedures, and best practices
Stay current with emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced developers
Support business development, service delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement through technology
Perform other duties assigned by management
Comply with company policies, IT procedures, programming standards, and project/task management requirements
Support and maintain the Company's Quality Management System and applicable quality standards
Promote a professional, respectful, and inclusive work environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Processing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
6+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting web-based applications using C# and .NET
6+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including database development and SQL programming
4+ years of experience with Telerik UI controls and object-oriented enterprise application development
Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET / .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX and web-based application development
3+ years of experience developing RESTful web services and Web API integrations
Experience developing and integrating XML and JSON-based interfaces
Knowledge of relational database design, development, and integration
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software development methodologies, database methodologies, and system integration practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small, collaborative IT team
Willingness and ability to mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and acquire new technical skills as business and technology requirements evolve
