About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage engagement and workflow of client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements
  • Lead engagement planning for timing, risk assessment, and readiness assessments
  • Determine and approve staffing, resource needs, and engagement schedules
  • Review engagement work papers and deliverables for Firm and professional standards
  • Develop test plans for key controls
  • Delegate assignments to supervisors based on skills, development needs, schedules, and engagement economics
  • Build technical expertise in information technology standards and audit methods through continuing education and training
  • Develop understanding of clients’ platforms, security, and software
  • Use assurance methodologies, processes, and tools to improve engagement efficiency and client profitability
  • Serve as primary client contact and develop trusted-advisor relationships
  • Identify additional services beneficial to clients
  • Draft management and findings reports and oversee audit exit-meeting presentations
  • Participate in practice development, proposals, professional networking, and article writing
  • Prepare client billings and collect outstanding accounts
  • Serve as an instructor in firm and department training programs and meetings
  • Develop less experienced professionals through performance feedback, career counseling, and mentoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field
  • CPA, CISA, CISSP or other relevant professional certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in internal controls with experience working in a top 10 public accounting or consulting firm
  • Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including evaluating and testing controls related to system development, implementation, and change management
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Oracle or SAP ERP systems, Windows and/or UNIX-based operating systems, SQL and other databases, change management methodologies, and security best practices
  • Assurance leadership, guidance or supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
