About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, including personal income tax returns and returns for closely held businesses, trusts, estates, and gifts
- Conduct tax research on industry and government developments related to wealth planning opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date tax knowledge
- Identify key planning opportunities throughout the year
- Develop tax strategy frameworks aligned with client needs and goals
- Assist in identifying and promoting new delivery capabilities and channels
- Support the partner team in developing and planning practice strategy, objectives, and budgets
- Mentor key talent
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
- Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
- Experience with a wide variety of entity types
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Expert knowledge of Go-systems, CCH Axcess, XCM, and Caseware preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Tech savvy and adaptable to changing work expectations
