About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned sales territory
- Plan sales strategy and develop key relationships for solution selling
- Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts
- Address existing customer business challenges
- Ensure customer satisfaction regarding supply chain management and value-added services
- Develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
- Sell and market Arrow offerings using knowledge of key supplier lines
- Prepare internal quarterly business reviews and present strategic plans and implementation steps
- Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities
- Promote and sell value-add, supply chain, and full life-cycle programs
- Establish relationships with key suppliers
- Visit customers and suppliers during the workweek
- Work one day per week at Arrow’s Philadelphia location
Requirements
What you’ll need- In-depth sales knowledge and experience
- Experience with electronic components preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc.)
- Field sales/industry experience strongly preferred
- Typically requires 3–7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience
- Experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
- Understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry
- Proficiency in sales tracking systems, Salesforce.com, and Oracle
- Ability to develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
- Ability to prepare and present internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR)
- Ability to lead regular QBRs with major customers
- Ability to build relationships with key suppliers
