About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned West Michigan sales territory
- Plan sales strategy and develop key customer relationships for solution selling
- Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts determining design opportunities and addressing business challenges
- Ensure customer satisfaction related to supply chain management and value-added services
- Develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
- Sell and market Arrow’s full set of offerings and key supplier lines
- Prepare internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR) with strategic plans and implementation steps
- Present plans to grow sales, create demand, and improve customer service
- Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities
- Promote and sell Arrow’s value-added, supply chain, and full life cycle programs
- Use sales tracking systems, Salesforce.com, and Oracle
- Build relationships with key suppliers
- Travel locally throughout West Michigan 3-4 days per week
- Participate in a sales compensation plan with variable incentive compensation tied to sales goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- In-depth understanding of the electronic components industry
- Knowledge of the assigned market/territory, including customers and competition
- Recent industry experience is required (IP&E or interconnect, passive, and electromechanical components)
- Ability to promote and sell Arrow’s value add, supply chain, and full life cycle programs
- Ability to develop strategic plans for assigned accounts and sell and market Arrow’s full set of offerings
- In-depth knowledge of Arrow’s key supplier lines
- Experience dealing with contract manufacturers
- Proven ability to articulate and execute complex strategies
- Extensive understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry
- Experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
- Ability to prepare and present comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR)
- Ability to lead regular QBRs with major customers
- Proficiency in sales tracking systems, Salesforce.com, and Oracle
- Enthusiastic, resilient, can-do attitude
- Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership
- Expected local travel throughout West Michigan territory 3-4 days a week
