About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build AI-powered automation to accelerate detection creation, tuning, and validation at scale
- Analyze cloud, identity, and SaaS data sources such as AWS CloudTrail, Okta, and Entra ID to identify detection opportunities
- Execute authorized attack simulations to validate detection coverage and identify defensive gaps
- Proactively hunt for malicious activity across customer environments
- Investigate security incidents to demonstrate product value, refine detection logic, and deliver actionable findings
- Join customer calls to present analysis results, explain findings, and gather product feedback
- Tune customer detections to reduce false positives and improve accuracy
- Create AI-powered tools that scale investigation and threat-hunting workflows
- Help companies detect and defend against advanced cyber threats using AI-driven defenses
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Hands-on incident response experience in cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience with identity providers including Okta and Entra ID
- Strong knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to uncover threat actor activity in various environments
- Strong experience with log-based analysis
- Ability to identify malicious activity across a variety of log sources
- Ability to translate security research into actionable detections or threat hunt investigations
- Strong communication skills and comfort explaining technical findings to engineers and customers
- Experience with detection engineering at scale
- Background working in a SOC environment or Managed Detection and Response preferred
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and SOAR tools preferred
- Customer-facing technical experience preferred
- Experience with AI tools and models preferred
- Must be able to work onsite in New York City
- U.S. citizenship application question and U.S. visa sponsorship question are included
