About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure the Linux estate by identifying vulnerabilities and applying the necessary patches
- Administer and optimize Red Hat Satellite to manage server updates and patch management
- Automate recurring operations by creating and deploying Ansible playbooks
- Use Ansible Automation Platform to industrialize administrative tasks and security remediation
- Contribute to maintaining infrastructure in operational condition and ensuring its reliability
- Support the infrastructure teams of a large enterprise client
- Undertake a short-term, two-month assignment providing temporary additional support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in Linux systems engineering, ideally in a large enterprise environment
- Excellent knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Satellite
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
- Expertise in large-scale patch management
- Comfortable with security, vulnerability management, and maintaining infrastructure in operational condition
- Knowledge of virtualization and backup solutions
- Professional proficiency in English
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and responsive
- Ability to integrate quickly into a technical team
- Expertise in Red Hat Satellite is essential
- Independent contractor / freelance status required for the assignment
