About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the operational continuity of network and security equipment, particularly switches and firewalls
- Perform updates on switches, firewalls, and the Wallix bastion
- Create and modify Palo Alto security rules, configure VPN/IPsec tunnels, and analyze logs
- Administer Palo Alto firewalls using Panorama
- Administer Huawei access and data center switches, as well as Cisco data center switches
- Participate in disaster recovery (DR) tests, including network failover from the production data center to the DR data center
- Perform interventions at production and DR data centers
- Ensure the operational maintenance and updates of the Wallix solution
- Diagnose network and security incidents, analyze logs, and identify root causes
- Write and maintain procedures, document changes, and ensure structured tracking of incidents and requests
- Work with local support teams and client contacts to secure operations across data centers, headquarters sites, and regional sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s-level degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Palo Alto and Panorama administration
- Proficiency in security policies, rules, VPN/IPsec, and log analysis
- Strong knowledge of Huawei and Cisco environments, for both access and data center networks
- Strong understanding of LAN, VLAN, routing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and connectivity troubleshooting fundamentals
- Understanding of filtering, segmentation, bastion host, proxy, and access security principles
- Ability to prepare, execute, and document network failover tests
- Ability to manage environments distributed across data centers, headquarters sites, and regional sites
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy, prioritization skills, traceability, and ability to formalize operations
- Ability to provide clear diagnoses, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate with clients
