About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in marketing, product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging Nano Imaging and Instrumentation products
  • Work on technical product development, potential profit estimates, and release to production
  • Assist with day-to-day progress and maintenance of Nano Imaging and Instrumentation products
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other departments
  • Develop marketing analysis and product definitions with the Product Team
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to address customer needs and market opportunities
  • Develop and maintain prioritized customer and market requirements
  • Coordinate marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for the product line
  • Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and definition
  • Establish product development objectives and schedules
  • Conduct market research and track market trends across arthroscopy, endoscopy, cardio-thoracic, ENT, and OB-GYN
  • Produce competitive analysis materials
  • Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products
  • Participate in key sales situations
  • Collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information
  • Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate sales, introduce products to market, address distribution/channel issues, and manage products through phase-out
  • Define promotional activities through press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels
  • Develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan
  • Plan and coordinate the portfolio to achieve financial and budgetary goals and optimize resource allocation
  • Coordinate portfolio details across organizational functions
  • Coordinate product introductions and market expansion with marketing and sales organizations
  • Provide continuing product surveillance and management of established products
  • Support offsite surgical cases and provide field team support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, marketing, engineering or clinical
  • 1 year of medical device sales and/or product management and/or clinical experience required
  • Experience with medical imaging (endoscopy/arthroscopy) equipment preferred
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required
  • Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinating their activities
  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers’ concerns or objections
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with cadaver specimens
  • Ability to speak in front of large groups
  • Ability to travel; travel will be required 25% of the time
