About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement training programs for agency and corporate staff based outside headquarters
- Establish objectives and create, develop, and administer training programs covering sales techniques and skills, product and product applications information, group referencing, and role playing
- Develop and provide materials and developmental support to sales regions for trainings and presentations at conferences or sales meetings
- Collaborate with Medical Education, corporate sales management, product management, and marketing to develop sales strategies and incorporate them into training programs
- Support the field in surgical cases to drive adoption, optimize outcomes, and generate sustained revenue growth, including Ring Fix, Hindfoot Nail, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Identify training needs and opportunities with corporate national and regional sales managers and agency leadership
- Integrate feedback into strategic plans for Sales Training
- Create and execute learning and development content, programs, and platforms, including ECI templates and AXIS implementation
- Identify critical sales competencies and develop short-, medium-, and long-term team development plans
- Identify emerging learning trends and execute learning and development strategies
- Develop and foster business relationships with key outside parties
- Partner with Sales, National Accounts, Product Management, Marketing, and Medical Education
- Organize training venues, logistics, transportation, and accommodation with the Meetings team
- Track training and development trends and maximize sales-force competency and performance using statistical models tied to sales results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Marketing, Science or related fields
- MBA Preferred
- 10+ years of sales or industry experience required
- 3+ years of direct responsibility for all aspects of a learning function in some combination of sales, marketing, training, or product management
- Orthopedic / medical device experience preferred
- Experience in Sales operations and sales effectiveness required
- Direct experience working with external customers required
- Must be capable of influencing internal and external sales personnel and recognized as a learning expert within both groups
- Knowledge of clinical/hospital/physician environment
- Strong project management, presentation and organizational skills
- Proven experience in business planning, strategy development, and execution of solutions/programs in healthcare environments
- Excellent presentation, communication, organization and planning skills
- Training in the area of professional selling and sales process
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred
- Results oriented and client focused
- Resourceful and creative regarding resources
- Able to work collaboratively across functional boundaries
- Frequent travel required; travel up to 70% in the field and at Arthrex, Inc.
