About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the team developing and launching new physical products for Artifact Uprising
- Manage physical product innovation project steps requiring vendor partner completion or input
- Assist with other Operations-owned project steps
- Source, qualify, and onboard vendors and suppliers
- Analyze and report on supply chain performance
- Support Operations management initiatives involving physical product development, commercialization, and sourcing
- Monitor project initiatives, communications, risks, and outcomes
- Facilitate risk-solution development with project teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, digital product, engineering, customer team, finance/accounting, suppliers, and vendors
- Support formal RFQs for product development and Operations strategy initiatives
- Identify vendor improvement opportunities and supply chain performance priorities
- Monitor expenses, adhere to budgets, and support cost-saving initiatives
- Work with the Physical Product Innovations core team on product design, specifications, prototyping, samples, test orders, go-live preparation, and Customer Experience support
- Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate vendor/supplier prices
- Work with suppliers to develop capabilities and improve products
- Source and qualify vendors and suppliers according to business strategy and supply chain objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong project management skills and experience using a common project management software tool, e.g. Asana, MS Project, etc.
- Experience working in a role developing and launching physical products
- 2+ years sourcing new vendors or suppliers, qualifying them, and establishing strong partnerships
- Ability to travel 3–5 times per year domestically
- Strong communication and time management skills
- College degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of print manufacturing strongly desired
- Experience working with a 3PL or other fulfillment provider
- Knowledge of supply chain operations principles, procedures, and best practices
- Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and lean methodologies, especially as they pertain to supply chain management
