About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the scientific and clinical expert for an assigned region
  • Represent Artiva’s scientific and clinical data to the medical community
  • Partner with the Executive Director, Medical Affairs Europe to execute the national field medical strategy
  • Validate, refine, and prioritize regional KOLs and identify new academic researchers, community clinicians, and advocacy stakeholders
  • Lead peer-to-peer scientific discussions on the therapeutic pipeline, mechanisms of action, and complex clinical data
  • Support planning and execution of medical advisory boards, symposia, and clinical training sessions for HCPs
  • Liaise between clinical investigators, internal stakeholders, and CRO staff for sponsored research studies
  • Support clinical trial sites, recruitment, protocol queries, feasibility assessments, and enrollment
  • Develop and manage collaborations with KOLs, investigators, study staff, nurses, pharmacists, and office managers
  • Identify collaborations for medical education and potential clinical research opportunities
  • Serve as a local medical and scientific resource for the medical community
  • Provide feedback on sites, regional trends, protocol amendments, accrual barriers, and patient identification
  • Complete accurate and timely administrative reports, projects, and required documentation
  • Synthesize clinical insights and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations for Medical Strategy
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams on pre-launch readiness and patient access strategy while maintaining medical independence
  • Represent Artiva at major medical congresses and execute congress strategy
  • Coordinate pre-congress preparation and session coverage
  • Support data dissemination and medical booth/display presence
  • Gather, synthesize, and report competitive intelligence from congresses
  • Provide ongoing medical and scientific training to internal colleagues and mentor early-career Medical Science Liaisons

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 years of Medical Science Liaison / Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • 6+ years of experience preferred
  • Direct ownership of clinical trial operations support
  • Direct ownership of KOL mapping validation
  • Direct ownership of KOL engagement and HCP scientific exchange
  • Direct ownership of advisory boards
  • Direct ownership of medical insights and competitive intelligence
  • Formal training and hands-on experience in Immunology and/or Inflammation
  • Proven ability to operate in a highly external, travel-intensive role, occasionally on weekends
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75%
  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs compliance and scientific exchange standards
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage credibly with leading physicians and researchers
  • Experience in early- to mid-stage biotech preferred
  • Experience supporting clinical-stage programs, pre-launch activities, or Investigator-Initiated Studies preferred
  • Rheumatology, immunology, and/or cell therapy experience preferred
  • Located in the Eastern European country cluster: Romania, Bulgaria, or Hungary
  • PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent scientific background strongly preferred
