About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide counseling and therapy treatment remotely through telemedicine to patients of Community Health Center partners
Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy, including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and bereavement/grief counseling
Engage patients in their treatment plans
Review and sign clinical psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents as needed
Maintain clinic records and document services in compliance with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements
Conduct crisis intervention for individuals and families based on safety plans
Participate in case planning with the multidisciplinary team
Participate in individual and group supervision
Complete ongoing education, in-services, training, post-testing, skill observation, and competency assessments
Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active, unrestricted behavioral health license in California
Active, unrestricted mental health license in the state of primary residence and California
Licensed Independent Therapist credential: LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT
Comfortable working in a remote environment
Trained and/or certified in evidence-based trauma modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, Brain Spotting, Somatic-Based Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal Theory, or Family Systems (IFS)
Patient-first mindset
Ability to sit for extended periods during working hours
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for computer keyboard, mouse, and office equipment use
Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents
Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence
Sufficient hearing ability for phone calls or virtual meetings
Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity
Successful completion of comprehensive background checks and drug screenings as a contingency to employment
