About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide friendly, helpful service to pharmacy customers
- Discuss personal health issues confidently and sensitively
- Resolve customer problems and direct customers to appropriate products
- Accurately assemble and process prescriptions
- Promote pharmacy services, including Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews
- Support the Pharmacist with patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop smoking schemes
- Maintain accurate records of patient services
- Follow pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures
- Collect prescriptions from customers’ doctors’ surgeries and bring them to the store for collection
- Work collaboratively with the store team to deliver results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must pass an enhanced safeguarding check
- Weekend working is required
- Flexibility with work pattern and shifts
- Good computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills with customers
- Problem-solving ability
- Passion for helping people and providing a positive healthcare experience
- Complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months
- Train as a Dispensing Assistant to complete pharmacy training
