Key responsibilities & impact

Further develop and take responsibility for the technical foundation of a reliable, secure, and scalable platform
Further develop hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
Ensure stability, performance, and scalability
Reduce manual intervention through scripts, standards, and self-service solutions
Improve monitoring and observability
Establish and further develop structured incident management
Conduct root-cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions
Implement security by design through hardening, patch management, and transparent access control concepts
Integrate AI and agents to accelerate analysis, support incident response, and automate recurring tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of relevant experience in DevOps, systems administration, infrastructure, or platform engineering
Experience in a SaaS or e-commerce environment is an advantage
Practical experience with AWS or Azure
Proven ability to operate on-premises systems, Linux, and networks
Excellent scripting skills, e.g., Bash, Python, and Ansible
Experience with monitoring, backup/restore, and/or security hardening is an advantage
Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or containerized workloads is an advantage
Experience with API-first or integration-driven platforms is an advantage
Experience with internal copilots, Ops agents, or tool-using workflows with guardrails is an advantage
Targeted use and evaluation of AI for analysis, scripting, and incident support
Hands-on mindset, strong sense of responsibility, and proactive, independent working style
Systematic problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Fluent German and English
Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and simply
