About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform Magnetic Rope Testing inspections on wire ropes
- Prepare and complete inspection reports accurately and on time
- Set up, install, and commission equipment on site
- Operate and maintain LPD, Cutting, Pump equipment, and winch systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, strip down, rebuild, test, and report on hydraulic and electrical equipment
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Maintain safety and compliance standards, including PPE use, risk assessments, pre-start checks, and incident reporting
- Work with clients on site and represent the business professionally
- Understand client requirements and build working relationships
- Identify equipment issues, suggest modifications, and contribute to future work scopes through detailed reporting
- Travel internationally as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in Magnetic Rope Testing (essential)
- Understanding of wire rope applications
- Wire Rope Inspection Certification
- Recognised apprenticeship or qualification, preferably in Hydraulic, Electrical or Mechanical discipline
- Offshore Survival and Medical Certification
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, individually or as part of a team
- Other certifications including GWO Training, Rigger Stage 1, Working at Height and Seamans Card or Book advantageous
- Supervisory experience beneficial
- Willingness and ability to undertake international travel
