About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct patient care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
  • Practice in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and AVH policies, values, and mission
  • Work in support of the medical staff treatment plan
  • Educate patients and families about the plan of care and disease management
  • Support the nursing philosophy through excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), which may be obtained upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Emergency Nurses Association - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred
  • 2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred
  • Certified Emergency Nurse certification preferred
  • Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse certification preferred
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered for certain jobs
