About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a DHS program providing application analysis, architectural design, engineering, development, maintenance, and support
- Perform senior-level design, coding, testing, deployment, and issue remediation across DHS platforms
- Lead development tasks and ensure SELC alignment
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET, React, Angular, Oracle, SQL, AWS, and Azure
- Apply software development expertise to solve business issues
- Work with analysts and customers to derive requirements for use cases and scenarios
- Assess design feasibility within time and cost constraints
- Plan and assign work when acting in a lead role
- Determine designs, collect development metrics, code, debug, document, test, and build applications to schedule
- Produce and implement design specifications and document design modifications and unit testing results
- Identify and work with strategic and technology partners to discover product solutions
- Design and develop functionality interfacing with SQL Server or Oracle in coordination with the Database Administrator
- Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces
- Maintain automated deployment processes and best practices for SharePoint solution deployments across multiple environments
- Facilitate meetings to determine the validity and priority of product issues
- Investigate, identify, and resolve complex code issues reported by QA and clients through Technical Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Potentially supervise subordinate software programmers and assist in producing quality products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Clearance: Public Trust
- Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience combined in computer programming and analysis of complex information systems, application, or operating system software
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the specified programming languages and environment
- Familiarity with Power Automate, Drupal, ServiceNow, and Databricks desired
- Microsoft Certified Professional/other Microsoft certification OR ServiceNow certification
- US Citizen
- Ability to successfully complete a government-issued background investigation
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance preferred
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
- Proven experience mentoring developers, conducting peer code reviews, and improving code quality
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders
