About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead solution design across DHS platforms, including Microsoft, ServiceNow, modern frameworks, and Drupal
Develop target and reference architectures
Ensure compliance, scalability, and reusability
Drive multiple customer solution design projects in parallel
Conduct business and technical discovery with customers
Develop novel solutions, architectures, and use cases
Provide recommendations and identify critical dependencies and gaps
Present proposals to senior government officials
Improve team knowledge, methodologies, and solution design blueprints
Apply engineering disciplines across planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, rollout, and support
Design interface, quality assurance, and performance standards
Perform cost-benefit analyses of information systems
Analyze available technologies and recommend how to use them

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable experience
8 years’ experience combined in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
7 years software ServiceNow development experience
ServiceNow Architect certification
Must be a US citizen to meet contract requirements
Ability to successfully complete a government-issued background investigation
Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance preferred
Experience working in a top-tier technical consulting or software development environment
Strong business and technology acumen
Ability to independently apply engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out, and support of information systems architectures
Knowledge of interface standards, quality assurance standards, performance standards, and cost-benefit analysis
Ability to analyze technologies and recommend appropriate solutions
Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including PowerPoint
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
Ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
Ability to motivate and guide technical teams
